Where the facts and media come from.

Release and game facts start with project-controlled records. Strategy is independent synthesis. Community pages are used to find unanswered jobs, not as the sole authority for game data.

Game art stays identifiable and attributed.

Backgrounds, plant card art, and zombie art used on this site were copied from the PvZ2 Gardendless website source repository at commit d326b760b64a81e32ffdaf907003867583901f87. The repository attributes Plants vs. Zombies game content to Electronic Arts and PopCap.

The homepage video thumbnail belongs to Leafstar’s YouTube video “PvZ2 Gardendless: The Best Way To Play PvZ2.” The player loads YouTube only after a reader chooses play.

No synthetic game screenshots or invented character art are used.

Research hierarchy

  1. Live project metadata and dated GitHub release records for current versions.
  2. Project source data and almanac pages for plant and zombie identities and stats.
  3. Project requirements, FAQ, agreement, and mod documentation for workflows.
  4. EA’s content policy for attribution and fan-site boundaries.
  5. Search and community discussions for questions that deserve original guides.

How conflicting notes are handled

The English project FAQ states that it covers 0.7.x, while the current release is 0.12.x. Where it says saves transfer automatically and the newer download page warns about packaging differences, the guide preserves both contexts and recommends a manual export.
